Steve Penney
Texas artist Steve Penney has over 40 years experience in the soldering arts and has combined that experience with stained glass techniques to create his unique, one of a kind turquoise and other stone overlay on skulls of animals such as bison, elk, deer, and longhorns. While other artists employ glue and caulk for the stone placement and attachment, Steve's work can't even be compared to those techniques as he meticulously chooses the proper stone, then uses foil copper to surround the pieces and lead free silver solder to attached the pieces in a beautiful lattice/lace pattern.
